Description

A neat gothic building whose foundation stone was laid on 16^th May 1864 by the Bishop of Salford the Rt. Rev. William Turner and opened the following year on the 4^th May 1865. 
It was designed by John Cundall of London and the cost of erection was £5,000. 
It accommodated 700 persons.
