Steve Williams DNA Project
 

The Objective of my DNA Project is to confirm the parentage of my Grandfather George Henry Williams (1898 - 1990)

I am very new to DNA and am on a very steep learning curve and am looking for all the help I can get!!!

My pedigree can be found on Ysearch  

You can see it is very short!! Hence my turning to DNA to see if I can knock down my brick wall.

My Grandfather, George Henry Wiliams was adopted. I have his Birth and Baptism certificates which state that his parents were John and Sarah Williams (nee Thompson). 

The trail then goes very cold - I cannot find any further references to John or Sarah Williams. 

Family stories tell me that my Grandfather was illegitimate - his father being of  'blue blood'!!!! 

So was John his real father or did he just give my grandfather his name and then ask that he be adopted?

Hence I am turning to DNA to try to find some answers
